My name is Sohail Mohameed Shaikh and I Joined SpiceJet 21st April 2022 (Emp-Id:-136492) Completed 1Year 7months in SpiceJet and posted at GOI airport and Designated as Security Executive and I would like to introduce myself.
I started Learning SQAY martial art in 2012 under instructor Sir Umakant and Sir Tukaram and at the age of 18 I completed my Black Belt in 2015 (Diploma course) from Kashmir Under SQAY FEDERATION OF INDIA .
While doing my graduation I got an opportunity to teach in Shree Ganesh Puri High school Mapusa Goa, as a “martial art Instructor🥋” (Part Time – starting taking class).
My Hobbies are learning different types of martial arts, teaching martial arts,playing different types of sports, fishing. In today’s Life cycle it’s very important specially a Girl child to learn self-defence as to safeguard herself and live life independently.
SQAY is a South Asian martial art from Kashmir which involves fighting with a sword and shield. Nazir Ahmad Mir, a sqay grandmaster, played a significant role in reviving the martial art’s popularity; he began promoting sqay from the 1980s onwards in Kashmir, and did international demonstrations in various countries. He eventually started an organisation which helped promote sqay globally.
Below mentioning some of my achievements:
- Gold medallist in 4th south Asian Sqay championship at Nepal kathmandu In 2014
- In 2015 gold medalist at Delhi Nationals organised by school games federation of India.
- Gold medallist at 1st tri nation International Sqay martial art championship In THIMPHU BHUTAN 2015.
- I completed my black belt exam at Kashmir with “A”grade and also got the grand champion trophy In 2015
In the same way I participated in many nationals in Delhi,Haryana, Punjab,Shimla, Maysuru, Maharashtra and Kashmir and won Gold medalwhereas also won the champion of the champion trophies 🏆.
I won SilverMedal under 70 kg category Loba (fight) recently in 37th National games which was held between 26th October to 9th November 2023 in Goa.
